Sequencing Systems

Typical Sequencing Application

ApplicationDescriptionDetails
Mobile Prepick Application The Mobile Prepick Application is used to prepick and stage material for subsequent processes, such as assembly lines. This application can run on a stationary PC on the shop floor, or on a bobile device, such as a Intermec 2425 Tracker, or a Windows CE based mobile scanning device. Details
Line Error Proofing The Line Error Proofing Application is used on Assembly Line processes, such as IP Assembly Lines. This application typically interfaces with a conveyor Control System to control the automatic line advance by indicating successful build in station. Details
Fixture Error Proofing The Fixture Error Proofing is used to control a single step or multi-step assembly fixture. This application typically interfaces with the fixture to provide build information and parameter, and read back build status information. For example, the Fixture Error Proofing Application may transfer colour and style information to the fixtur controller, and then read back pass/fail information regarding the build. Details
Mobile Rack Verification Mobile Rack Verification is used to confirm the contents of a Sequenced Rack after the items have been loaded into the rack. The process involves scanning the Rack Label to identify the contents of the rack, and then scanning each item in the rack, in sequence, to confirm the part number and sequence. This application typically runs on an Intermec 2425 Tracker style device, but can operate on any device that has a bar code scanner and can perform VT100 terminal Emulation. Details
Mobile Shipping Application The Shipping Application is used to confirm the contents of a shipping after racks have been stage for loading into the truck. The process involves scanning the Rack Label to confirm that the rack has been rack verified and confirming that the rack belongs to the shipment. The order of rack scanning may also be enforces to ensure that racks are loaded in the truck in the properr sequence. This application typically runs on an Intermec 2425 Tracker style device, but can operate on any device that has a bar code scanner and can perform VT100 terminal Emulation. Details
Web Performance Measures Web Performance Measures include Real Time screens for Customer and Internal Bank Levels, Production Activity, Reject Rates etc. In addition to real time screens, a range of Date Range reports are available as well. Details
ERP Interface The ERP interface reports all shop floor activity back to the ERP system. Types of transactions include.

  • Production Reporting
  • Inventory Transfers
  • Shipment Creation
  • Scrap Activity
  • Labor Activity
  • Interfaces supported include Trans4m XTC Interface and Trans4m Portal Interface.

Digital Equipment Interface The Digital Equipment Interface provides a central interface function for communicating with Conveyor Control Systems or Fixtures. Interface technologies typically use OPC Services and Customer Specific Interfcacing Standards, such as Rockwell Software RSlinx Details
